Joe Edmond Pryor Jr. was born on June 7, 1960 as the sixth of eleven children to a Licensed Vocational Nurse that he wouldn't get to know until he was an adult. Instead, he was raised in a lower middle-class home in Watts and Compton California, by his father and step-mother during an unsettled socio-economic and political climate that would change history. After his best friend was killed by gang members, Joe decided to change career-directions and became a Los Angeles Deputy Sheriff, embarking upon a law enforcement career that would span twenty-two years between Los Angeles Sheriff Department and the Inglewood Police Department, with assignments including; Training Officer, Gangs, Narcotics, Weaponless Defense Instructor, Vice, Custody Facilities, and the Superior and Municipal Courts. Joe's calm under pressure demeanor and strategic thinking with quick responses in critical situations, led him to be sought after in the entertainment and corporate sectors for high profile clients such as Montel Williams, Lionel Richie, Teena Marie, Randy Jackson (of the Jackson 5), Blake Lively, Vanessa Williams, Bridget Moynahan, Gerard Butler, Jennifer Hudson, Rachael Ray, Dr. Mehmet Oz, as well as Chris and Mallock Rock, just to name a few. As Joe's passion to help others grew, a natural part of that progression was manifested in his writing, hence, the birth of his series of books using the theme "UNLIKELY DESTINY."
